Beginnings

The KKG Gallery idea  was started at the end of 2014, opened in 2015 with its first exhibition in July of that year, under the name of ‘21 Gallery’. In 2016 it changed its name to ‘KKG Gallery (Keeni Kessler Gallery Gallery!). The history can be viewed on KKGMayfair.com. Suffice it to say that there came to be a need for another website, given that the first website was setup in honour of Keeni Kessler (a given promise, only realised after she had departed) and the Silk Roads, linking peoples, cultures and ideas spanning vast regions and times.

KKGColours was established with the idea of promoting art and culture in the Balkans. Given new circumstances, the focus will probably  change and become wider. One important part of this website will be to bring the Maldivian contribution to the Maritime Silk Roads of times past to the public. As the project develops, it will become more ample and wide, and include a number of other countries that participated in the Maritime Silk Roads. Exhibitions and other events are slated to be scheduled in Malaysia in the future.
